Overview

The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO). CT teams are aligned with corporate partners’ evolving technology needs and the firm’s ever expanding technology controls agenda.


What You Will Do

  • Architect, develop and test highly interactive front-end web applications and reusable components using current web technologies and frameworks
  • Own your projects from software design to implementation and deployment
  • Work within a high-performance scrum team and ensure a high quality of deliverables
  • Collaborate across design, engineering, and product teams within an Agile development environment

What you required

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS (or related) or equivalent work experience.
  • Expertise in JavaScript/ES6 and at least one frontend framework (e.g. React, Angular, Vue, Ember)
  • Efficient in HTML5, CSS, and CSS Preprocessors (less/sass)
  • Ability to clearly articulate design decisions & the problems they are solving with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Experience with an iterative design process: incorporating feedback, launching quickly and testing hypotheses
  • Competency in use of typography, color, iconography, space, texture to help users successfully navigate our products while creating a delightful experience
  • Commitment to creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
  • Experience writing production quality code, preferably in a product based company
  • Excellent at articulating, documenting and presenting ideas and work across the Engineering organization
  • Ability to influence with or without authority
  • A strong portfolio showcasing examples of visual design skills and problem-solving applying the digital interaction and visual design methodology: concept sketches, interaction wireframes, prototypes, visual design mocks, design specifications for development across web and mobile. Examples of visual and UI mastery, including methodology and production assets are core to this role.
  • Produce wireframes and interactive prototypes to depict proposed functionality to stakeholders, potential users, developers and other audiences
  • Experience with Digital Animation and Graphics, Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields a plus
